Annual Food Drive 2025
Each year on a Friday in late November, the Whitney Food Bank holds its Annual Food Drive. This drive is our major fundraiser and greatly determines how many people in need will be assisted the following year.
Donations of food and money are collected that day at the Food Bank. Throughout the month prior to the collection day, businesses, schools, churches and community groups gather to collect donations on their own that are then given to the Food Bank. Online donations made during the month of November are also counted towards the annual drive.
Join Us to Fight Hunger: Your Donations Make a Difference!
Volunteers from throughout the community show up at the Food Bank that day to help collect the donations of food and money. Food items are sorted and shelved as appropriate.
Each penny given goes directly to the Food Bank which is managed by non-paid volunteers. With your financial gifts, we can purchase items that supplement donations of food from the community.

Student Councils Join Forces to Nourish Our Community!
Every year, the members of the Whitney and Aquilla Student Councils organize food drives at their schools, then deliver their contributions to the Food Bank. On the same day, they unpack, sort, and arrange these donations on the warehouse shelves. Through this process, the students cultivate essential leadership and service skills, forging lasting memories that emphasize the significance of giving back to their community.
